5 yr Anniversary getaway

Hello Darlings!

Last weekend My husband and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. Can I just say these past 5 years flew by so fast! This man of mine is truly my best friend and my right hand man. We’ve been threw a lot good and bad but all in all everything was for a reason and all bought us closer and made us stronger. This year we celebrated not only our anniversary but also my back to school and getting all A’s, our new journey starting in just a few months ( more on that soon) and of course our happiness, our family and our blessings.

Since our wedding 5 years ago we’ve been celebrating our anniversary in the North fork part of long island. last year we went to Green port long island (part of the North fork) This year we stayed in Mastic in a beautiful Airbnb. Joann our host was amazing! the apartment was beautifully decorated and she even left us a beautiful anniversary  note and even a little bottle of wine with snacks and goodies. We love staying in Airbnb’s rather than a hotel specially this time around  it was just the hubby and I.

Our first day we drove into town and had breakfast at the cutest little breakfast spot with all farm to table and home made food ( I love that) Main Road Biscuit Co. in Jamesport, NY is a must!

then we headed to Parrish Art Museum in South hampton NY. If you love museums like I do then this is a must see.

After our little history lesson we headed for some lunch and drinks at Palmer Vineyards. This is our go to winery. There are many wineries and they are all great but this is our place to go. they had a food truck, live music and the weather couldn’t have been better.

After lunch we headed back to our Airbnb relaxed a bit and got ready for our very special anniversary dinner. The reason I saw special is because last year when we visited North fork for our 4 year anniversary we stopped by the Jedediah Hawkins inn and I fell in love with this place, so hubby surprised me and made reservations for us for this year. It was a dream, the food out of this world and the history of this home is absolutely amazing. Please make sure you make a pit stop here to eat or to just take in all of its beauty. The grounds at this place are just magical and we witnessed the most beautiful cotton candy sun set.

We had a beet salad as our appetizer. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the seafood soup as our main course. It was truly out of this world!

Our second and last day consisted of break fast at the amazing and delicious Love Lane Kitchen. It was so good I didn’t even get to take a picture. After breakfast we headed out to Greenport NY to see the lavender fields at Lavender by the bay. Unfortunately the lavender’s were still not in full bloom but still its just a beautiful place and we just sat there and took it all in and feel blessed for this life we have.

It was a beautiful weekend with my beautiful man and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m a high believer in taking the time for one on one with your partner to reconnect and be alone with one another. We all have busy lives and time passes and we forget to put in the time in our relationships. This works for us and we still act like we are dating to keep our relationship  fresh and balanced.

Every LOVE story is beautiful but ours is my favorite
