Mix it up!

Once you can accept the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something, wearing stripes with plaid is easy.

Today we are mixing it up on simpleblissblog! I recently shared about the style challenge I’ve been doing for the month of May. Today’s challenge was “mix it up” mixing different patterns is new to me, I guess I was afraid and felt it wouldn’t work. But lately I’ve gotten a new view on life where the question is “who cares”? Who cares what people think, or say? That was a big worry for me in my personal life and style. I always played it safe. Now I have a new found confidence in me, my style, my work and my decisions. Life is grand! And im living it, mixing it, loving it.
For today’s mixing it up challenge I mixed two of my favorite patterns {polka dots and stripes} I love the way those two go together. Here’s the outcome.

  1. Love this, images 2 and 5 for outfits are fab, i’m not very brave in my personal style, so look upon these pics with a bit of envy really. As for interior decor, I love rooms 3 and 4, they really catch my eye. Upholstered pieces create such fabulous features in a room, so long as they have an underlying common factor – like colour or furniture style, the mixing of pattern or even texture can look really striking, adding such dimension to a space.
